Design and Production: Create/produce the final design of a wide range of communications, including print advertising, digital, collateral, comps, and presentations.
Branding: Design brand books, print ads, and social media assets.
Visual Identity: Apply logos, typography, and layout standards to maintain a consistent brand look across projects.
Cross-functional teamwork: Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and developers as well as other team members throughout the agency to deliver high-quality work for a wide range of clients.
Print and Digital Production: Prepare final, press-ready files (including print, online, web, and mobile applications) based on supplied specifications for several types of production.
Image Editing: Digitally manipulate, enhance, and resize photographs and images for comps, ads, and artwork.
File Management: Create files for client review and electronically deliver/upload artwork for final reproduction and web usage.
Quality Control: Review files before releasing/delivering to ensure adherence to the standards of the agency, clients, and vendors.

For this BBDO Minneapolis project I was in charge of photo editing, color correcting images, typography and layout according to the brand guidelines.
Jennie O Queen of Protein Social Media Design
Jennie O Queen of Protein. A set a five posters for the campaign of Queen of Protein for Jennie-O Turkey. Kira Olson’s design responsibilities: Layout, typography, color correct the photos, change item colors to meet the brand guidelines, remove unwanted material, and re-size them to fit the different aspect ratios for the social posts including Instagram and Pinterest.
Publication design for the Hormel Brand Books by Kira Olson.
For this BBDO Minneapolis project, I created PDF files and interactive WordPress websites of brands at Hormel. These brand books inform vendors on topics such as the story behind the brand, brand audience, brand guidelines, and the current brand campaign. The Hormel companies I worked on include Skippy, Jennie O, Spam, Mary Kitchen Hash, Dinty Moore Stew, Hormel Chili, Hormel Compleats, and Black Label Bacon.
