The Challenge
Ellie Mental Health wanted a premium swag item that would make a lasting impression — something bold enough to stand out, useful enough to actually be used, and branded in a way that felt cohesive with their identity. The marketing team had a clear feeling in mind: bold, colorful, and logo-forward rather than copy-driven. However, the visual concept itself was left largely open, placing the creative weight squarely on the designer to interpret the brand and develop something original from the ground up.

The Solution
From concept to production-ready art, this project was designed end-to-end by Kira. A custom all-over print cooler backpack was selected as the canvas, recognizing that the front, back, pocket, straps, and gusset each offered an opportunity for intentional design. Rather than defaulting to a simple logo repeat, a full geometric surface pattern was developed using Ellie Mental Health's brand color palette, building bold energy and visual movement that wraps cohesively across the entire bag. Mapping the pattern across multiple panels required careful consideration of how shapes, colors, and flow would translate from flat art to a three-dimensional product. The logo was anchored as the focal point on the front pocket panel, grounded in a solid brand-colored block that ensures instant recognition without competing with the surrounding pattern.
